Leo's First Birthday

We should have known this year would go by in the blink of an eye!  Our handsome little Mr. Chubs has gotten too big, too fast but we sure do enjoy every minute of him.  He is often expressionless when we're trying to get a reaction out of him which makes us wonder what's going on in that Leo head.  He says I love you by pounding his open hand on your chest when you pick him up and sometimes a quick snuggle to the neck.  He especially loves Daddy when he comes home and is always the first to jet over to him.

Leo loves playing in the air vent and the toilet.  When we can keep him out of those places, he also enjoys playing at the little kitchen and following the big kids around.  He has recently discovered how to scale the kitchen chairs and table.  He's been walking around holding onto things since he was 8 months, so we are very surprised that he still isn't walking, but I'm sure that will come soon enough!

With his birthday landing on Conference weekend, we decided to do a brunch family party since that was our biggest chunk of time.  I've never served cake for breakfast, but this was a special occasion.  And I think Leo did more squeezing of frosting between his fingers than actually eating it-still fun to watch tho.

We're so glad to have this sweet little guy in our family!

He is too cute and adorable. It is sad that we each have a baby the other hasn't held. Stupid Marine Corps. Love you and miss you
