Because Papa doesn't spend enough time at work (yes, I'm being sarcastic) and because the government has plenty of money to throw around, they assigned four different teams at his work to make catapults in their 'off time'. Papa spent many long hours in our garage putting this thing together so we HAD to go to the test run and watch it in action.
While the men busied themselves setting it up the kids explored Gallahan Farm.
Boys and sticks...sigh...
Boys and beads....hmmm???
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! When it was ready, we watched it launch tennis balls straight up and then out to a 100 ft target.
After a couple hours Leo was ready for another nap so we headed out. Later we heard that their farthest launch was 400+ ft. We were glad to see the fruits of Papa's labor, but even more glad to see him get his life back now that the 'catapult saga' has ended. Thanks Papa!
