Memorial Day

Memorial Day was more fun than usual this year.  We've never been very good about teaching the kids what the days celebrates, so we started out with some good conversations about those who have given their lives for our freedom and the countless families that have moms and dads that still risk their lives every day for all the rest of us.  The kids helped make this poster to put at the entrance of our neighborhood.
The weather ended up being pretty mild, so after my race we rode bikes, played foursquare and ate popcicles.
 Sleepy Leo on Dad's head.
The Green family in our ward had an impromptu BBQ at their house.  They're getting ready to move so it was so fun to spend time with them and the other ward members that came.  Fun until Adam peed his pants trying to get his pants down to pee in their yard-a winning moment for sure.  Daddy had stayed home to help Papa with an emergency so we played some games later.
