After Andrew's last soccer game we were driving home a different route on the back roads. As we came around a corner, we looked out the window and were greeted with this appealing sight in a field that usually stands vacant. The Stafford County carnival! This is something we hadn't even heard advertised and if we did we probably wouldn't have planned to go. But, since it was a beautiful day and since our Daddy likes to be spur of the moment, we decided to stop and check it out.
The prices were of course hideously expensive (especially for rides that were held together with duct tape, pictured below), but we weren't staying long so they each got to pick a couple things to do. Porter went on the giant slide and the scrambler. I hadn't been a ferris wheel in probably 25 years so we all took a whirl on that and thankfully landed safely. Andrew liked the scrambler also. And the little kids did the merry-go-round.
Thanks Stafford County and Daddy for such a surprising treat!

What a fun time!!! Hard to be spur of the moment sometimes but usually worth it.
