Easter Conference

We love Easter and we love General Conference-what a fantastic combination this year!  The kids did their hunt in between sessions on Saturday.  Leo had no desire to collect eggs quickly-he had to stop and be amazed with each piece of candy or money along the way-it was too funny.

Grandma Smyth had brought several eggs labeled with each of our names for the hunt and Daddy thought it would be funny to hide mine way up high on the shed-ha,ha!

On Sunday morning, the kids found their baskets after breakfast.

We tried a few new activities during Conference this year: putting a sticker on themed papers whenever they heard that topic discussed and also putting a sticker up on the corresponding picture of each of the speakers, using the insert from last October's conference magazine.  They were somewhat helpful, but the real benefit was that Leo's nap time fell over the entire first session each day:-)

Andrew and Daddy put together a metal model of R2D2 from Christmas that ended up being much for intricate than expected.  And then there was the photo shoot-it was a bit windy and Adam was more interested in diving in and out between people than sitting in any one spot, but we got a couple good ones.

That evening Aaron's parents and brother joined us and we had a wonderful dinner with an over abundance of vegetables that probably weren't as appreciated as they should have been, but it was yummy none the less!  Everything we have and everyone we have been able to be with is a blessing because of a living and loving Savior and we hope to remember that throughout this year.  One evening when we were together, Papa was sharing some pictures of his parent's farm with my Mom and Adam saw great-grandpa Kulbeth in one of the pictures.  He asked where great-grandpa was and Papa told him he had died and gone to heaven.  Adam immediately asked if he was resurrected and Papa told him not yet, but he will be some day--maybe he was actually listening to that Easter goodness we have been trying to include-baby steps.
