National Night Out

Ever since we moved into the neighborhood 5 years ago, this has been one of the most anticipated events of the summer for our kids.  Funny enough this is the first time I've ever remembered to bring my camera to one!  National Night Out is a community safety event and our HOA chooses to do some activities to make it a fun night.  It's simple and perfect-hot dog dinner, lawn games for the kiddos, a cake walk, raffle drawing for things like Outback coupons, and a visit from Officer McGruff escorted in a police car.  This year we got a fire truck as well and the kids loved sitting up in the driver's seat.

Leo couldn't stop screeching "Daw" at the top of his lungs the whole time Officer McGruff was there-it was too funny!

Until next year...
