Big Boy Adam
Adam turned 2 on April Fools and he has been pulling lots of pranks on us lately. Some days he pulls bottles of pancake syrup, katsup or hershey's syrup out and squirts them on floors and tables. A lot of times he swirls wads of toilet paper around in the toilets with his cute little 2 year old hands. Other days (or if we're lucky, all on the same day) he paints the bathroom or the carpet with toothpaste or lotion. One of these days was last Saturday. Yes, we were watching 2 extra kids that evening and Aaron was off helping his brother, so it was already quite busy, and Adam painted a nice picture with toothpaste on our bedroom floor. As I finished suctioning the carpet and was headed to put the Resolve and water spray bottles away, Jane and her friend informed me that Adam was taking off his diaper (another one of his favorite tricks) so I ran into his room and set down the bottles to attend to that before things got out of hand. And of course after changing him, while I was disposing of the dirty diaper, he pcked up not the water bottle, but the Resolve and started spraying it all over the girls and around the room. Little girl shrieks brought me running again-the fun just never stops with Adam around!! Yet for all of his mischief, I must say he is the most pleasant, good natured toddler of all the kids. Balance in all things, right???
Being the first day of spring break, all the kids were home to help celebrate Adam's birthday. He was delighted with his big ball as well as a talking Elmo and ride in car from the second hand store.

Adam loves Elmo, so that was his cake topper. We made him a mini cake (which was really a large muffin) since we already had so much candy and dessert left over from Easter the day before. We spent all day trying to get Adam to say how old he was, but instead he just kept yelling 'old' instead. Maybe we asked too many times. We sure love our little mischief maker and look forward to many more years of his happy shennanigans.

Oh my goodness, I'll never complain about messes again...that's not true but dang he's good at them. Hope he helps clean up ;).
Oh, I have so had one of "those" kinds of two year olds. It sure makes life exciting! I think it just means he has an intensely curious and creative brain. Pretty much like he's a genius. He will grow up to do amazing things once he learns to use his powers for good, and not evil.
