A Happy Easter

Easter tried to sneak up on us this year, being in March, but we managed to have a great time with it! We began with our scripture countdown from last year-thanks again Sue:-) Coloring eggs was an experience, as Adam kept dropping his too hard in the cups, but the other kiddos had fun experimenting with different color combinations and seeing how dark one color could make their egg. On the Saturday before Easter the kids got to do an egg hunt with our ward's playgroup. Actually, that was the first official week in our new ward. We were one of about 6 families that were transferred from our old ward of 8 years and assigned a new ward. It's like we moved but we didn't move-but that's a topic for another post. And following the egg hunt we headed for the airport to get Grandma and Grandpa Smyth who joined us for Easter day! Easter Sunday was a bright, beautiful day and we listened to a very nice musical and narration program for sacrament meeting. The children enjoyed finding what the Easter bunny brought after church and then we had a traditional ham dinner with Aaron's family. They actually made all the food except the devilled eggs which our kids helped with. We treasure these moments where we are surrounded with our family-they are few and too far between.
