9 Year Old Porter
Our Porter has entered his last year in the single digit ages-whoa! He enjoyed some fruity pebbles for his birthday cereal that morning and was then off to school. He picked donuts (of course) as the treat for me to bring in at lunch for his class. One of the grocery stores here makes a frosted donut with fruity pebbles on top and that has been Porter's favorite lately.
Porter stacked up all his gifts that evening into a tower. He is still really into legos and is also fascinated with outer space. He continues to create, not so much drawing like he use to, but now he is writing a fictional book in his spare time and creating a new line of dragons including their own language with a few friends at school.
Porter chose an oreo ice cream cake and we tried to spell his name on top but some of the M&Ms sunk and slid a bit. Judging by that smile, I would say he was still happy tho:)
This is a shot from the combined birthday we had with Porter's cousins. Muna made a candybar cake (hollow inside), since we all seem to be caked out by the end of the September birthdays and it was a big hit. We love having family so close to celebrate with!!
