December Fun

Aside from an ear infection, strep throat, cellulitis and fighting to canceling a 7 month old membership we never signed up for, December was quite fun!  Jane and Adam (the only 2 healthy children at our house that Saturday) got to visit Santa at the elementary school and make some fun crafts.

They made glittery reindeer food to sprinkle on the grass Christmas Eve, snowman soup (aka hot chocolate w/ mix ins), and decorated stockings.
Eight of Aaron's local aunts and cousins got together one morning for a cookie exchange.  Here is a picture of the lovely assortment we slaved over, but somehow I didn't get a picture of the lovely group of ladies that did the slaving:(

Did I mention we had circus visitors that performed amazing feats of hoop jumping?

Daddy also shrunk (with Porter's help from behind and against his will) to perform a snazzy version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" at the ward Christmas program.
The outfit Andrew insisted on wearing to the ward Christmas program...
We found Leo asleep one night like this after discovering some other evidence of candy theft in our bedroom.  Fortunately for him, we didn't send this picture to Santa before Christmas.
This day we took a break from Christmas celebrations to honor Uncle David and his Master's degree recently earned in the study of cartography from George Mason University.  Aaron and I got to attend the ceremony with his parents and siblings and then we came back for a nice lunch.  The kids made posters and balloons to surprise him.  David is such a kind uncle and we're grateful to have him around!
