We have been blessed with an abundance of grandmotherly love lately and we were happy to celebrate both of their birthdays with them in early February. Muna is our groundhog grandmother. We ate french toast sticks and tuna casserole with her and played one of Uncle David's game shows where we learned that she spent much of her growing up years in Arlington,VA.
Grandma Smyth worked at the temple on her birthday. Then I drove up north to pick her up and with traffic, we made it back just in time to eat chocolate cream pie before throwing the kids in bed. It doesn't seem like much celebrating, but it was much better than last year when the snow ruined our get together plans.
There are no other two women that could be more important or better examples of goodness in our lives. We are so thankful for our grandmothers!
