Christmas Highlights
Adam surprised us all by wanting to sit with Santa. I can't remember any of our other 20 month olds ever wanting anything to do with a real Santa. He was so intent on getting close and then once we sat him on his lap, he wouldn't look at Santa's face, just kind of stared down. It was kind of fun, but way to be brave Adam!
Our candy train tradition:
Adam found this hat and was very funny putting it on all by himself.
Andrew's first grade teacher (and Porter's in 1st grade) sent these cute elf hats home for all the kids. It's amazing how good they all are at keeping track of each other's bad choices (and none of their own) during the holiday season. They are great tattle elves!
Our Christmas Nativity with cousins: The rest of our Christmas Eve traditions include an appetizer dinner and pinata. This year 10 year old Joshua made a beautiful dark blue tree ornament shaped pinata with his Dad Jared. Candice made some awesome rocky road fudge too!
Christmas morning! Our friends the Drake's made us an edible cinnamon twist Christmas tree which was super yummy and very thoughtful. After a relaxing morning we headed over to Aaron's parents to exchange gifts and then up to his brother's in Fairfax for an early dinner. We also stopped by GG Black's to say hello on the way home. We are so lucky to still have her around at the age of 91!
We played angry birds with empty boxes and these plush toys with sound effects that Aaron got for the kids. THis was probably the highlight of Christmas morning for everyone but...
...Andrew, who was much too excited about his math workbook to have anything to do with angry birds! I had to document this b/c this is exactly where he sat for the hour we were all playing together-too funny!
Spiderwoman Jane!
And of course Porter used his lego magic to wish us all and you a Merry Christmas!
