September birthdays

We love September at our house because we get to celebrate 2 special little people in our family! Jane turned that magical age of 2 and even started early perfecting the word 'mine' as well as throwing those beloved dramatic temper tantrums. They are actually quite entertaining (when we're not in public of course). Fortunately her 2 year old cuteness outweighs those other choice qualities and we are enjoying her bursts in vocabulary and all the funny things she does. Our favorite word to hear is probably 'boomanna'.

She is up for playing just about anything-one minute she is feeding her baby a bottle and the next chasing the boys with a light saber. She insists on picking out her own clothes and will not even give into bribes anymore, and consequently some of my favorite outfits are going unworn-oh well!

Jane came out of her room on her b-day dressed like this, yelling "I'm awake! I'm awake!"

Unfortunately she cut her head open right before cake time and that's why she's comforting herself with a popsicle.

Happy Birthday Janie!!

Porter is our big 7 year old now and we love what a great BIG brother he is to Andrew and Jane. He loves legos (and that's really an understatement), dinosaurs and star wars right now. He can clean up any room better than I can and get Jane out of a mood quicker than anyone else in the family. He is always up for a challenge and was recently awarded the golden paw at school for "effective effort" in all areas. Porter is a super kid and we love having him in our family!

With cousins Claire and Joshua

I had a hard time coming up with some positive star wars message coming out of Darth Vader's mouth, so we just went with this.

And this is our good friend Bonnie who remembers every birthday and spoils us with her kindness.

I can't believe that Porter is SEVEN even though of course he is since Madelyn is! And, my girls STILL won't wear my favorite outfits. They wear the same ratty old shirts over and over again...
