Our little fella Adam turned five this year! He has grown up SO much this year. I love the 4-6 year old age when little ones are literally like sponges...His birthday fell during spring break again, so lucky him, got to have all his family home to celebrate. Daddy even took the day off. His best buddy, Andrew Blake came over to play in the morning and then after lunch we all headed out to go bowling.
Everyone had a great time and appreciated the extra help of the bumpers. Leo and Adam were especially funny because they couldn't throw the balls as fast as everyone else, so after they let them go they would sit down at the line to wait, and wait, and wait for the pins to finally get knocked down.

When we got home, Muna, Papa and Uncle Dada came over for pizza, ice cream cake and root beer tasting.
I found this Iron Man costume at a community sale and he really loved it. I think it doubles his body mass. Porter was even jealous of one of the mask pieces (which was much to small on him obviously) and tried to turn it into hood for his favorite superhero, the Flash.
Adam has grown up so much this year. He has calmed down (a bit) and has turned into a sponge wanting to learn all about letters and numbers and how things work. Jane recently told the principal that she shouldn't let Adam come to kindergarten because she's afraid that he might get in trouble a lot. We aren't as nervous as Jane is, so he will definitely be going in the fall:) He loves his 'dot blanky' and it is barely big enough to cover him at night. Luckily he doesn't move when he sleeps like many of the other kids. He's always looking for a friend to play Candyopoly or Labrinth or checkers with. He doesn't like many foods right now-favorites are chicken nuggets and maccaroni & cheese and grapefruit.
Adam also got to have his first friend party. We did a race car theme, mostly a glorified playdate, but he loved it. Here he is with his bud Andrew Blake. We raced and ate and raced some more. Happy birthday 5 year old!
