Timber!


One windy day a couple weeks ago, half of our tree out front broke off unexpectedly. The boys had hours of fun climbing in the branches and picking the little apple/berry fruits off.

And then it was time for the chainsaw. Fortunately it was the back half of the tree, so you can't even really tell from the street. Unfortunately it's the kind of tree that grows too fast and is too big for its britches, so the other half will probably fall on the next blustery day. I think the boys are looking forward to that:-)

Now... when you say that "the boys" are looking forward to more fun with the tree, you ARE including the big boy who gets to play with his chainsaw, right?
